Unfair Account Deactivation Due to False Link

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out for advice regarding an unfair account linking issue on my Amazon UK seller account.

Amazon deactivated my account due to a supposed link with another selling account called ENUN LTD, which I have absolutely no connection to. The only similarity is that we both used the same address provider — but even then, our unit numbers were completely different.

I submitted all supporting documents (company incorporation papers, address proofs, invoices, and utility bills), but Amazon rejected my appeal saying the information was “not sufficient.”

To clarify the timeline:

  • I used the mentioned address for only 12 days before updating it when a new director was added to my company.
  • All my subsequent business activity, including orders and invoices, has been from the new address.

I’ve already filed for mediation more than a month ago, but I haven’t received any response yet.
I’m a completely independent seller and feel this is a wrongful association. If necessary, I’m willing to take legal steps.

Has anyone faced a similar issue?
What can I do next, or where else can I escalate this?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

thank you for joining the forum. I am sorry to hear that your Seller Account has been deactivated due to a related account issue.

When your account gets suspended due to being related to another seller account which may not be used to sell on the site, it means that Amazon detected that it shares some information with another storefront, which is currently suspended.

It could be anything - e-mail address, phone number, bank account, credit card, inventory, SKU patterns, IP address usage patterns…

The link could have been created without your knowledge - maybe an employee logged into your account using his own computer or device, which was also used to access another account. Or someone else’s credit card was entered only to pay for an order in the buyer side of your account.

In order to appeal a suspension like this, you will firstly need to find the exact cause of the link.

I think it’s very unlikely it would be just the business address. Many sellers re using shared addresses.

Have you already proceeded with the mediation in any way?

Hi am also.same position i apply mediation 6 weeks ago and heard nothing tomrrow will complete 6 weeks i will update you if i heard back and can you let me know.if yiu hear anything when did you apply mediation my first mediation close at 5th week saying they could not verify my business registration due to beinf sole traders and ask me rk send documents to proof when i send 6 weeks ago and not heard back.

We are currently in the mediation process, but we haven’t received any positive or negative response yet.

Regarding what you mentioned — none of those links (such as shared IP, payment method, or contact details) are possible in our case. All of our account information is unique and specific to our company only.

During my communication with Amazon Account Health Support, they clearly stated that the issue was related to the business address. However, even in that regard, our addresses are completely different — especially our unit numbers are distinct.

It seems to be a misunderstanding, and I am still waiting for the mediation team’s final decision to clarify the situation.

Also, I would like to ask if there are any legal or alternative actions that can be taken while the mediation process is still pending, since this situation has been ongoing for several months without resolution.

Amazon asked me to provide address and verification documents, and I’ve already sent all of them, but there’s still no update.
I don’t remember the exact date I applied for mediation, but it’s been about 5 weeks now.

Can I ask what exactly was the reason for your mediation request?
And where did you receive the mediation reply — was it by email from CEDR or through Amazon’s performance notifications section?
Also, is there any way to track the mediation process?

@fakan i first time mediation they close the case and said we can not verify your business registration as am sole trader they don’t ask these question for the one are company register as they can search online to verify but with sole trader they can not find any information thwy took 5 weeks and 2 day to reply they send me email they is no way to track this only.you can do is call health team.and ask.them status of mediation they can tell only that os ir close or under review they can not do anything esle my account got deactivated for misbrand i ask amazon to correct the brand name nerf as the brand name show was was wrong wothout sorting this they deactivated my account for misbrand when i had no problem for 13 years goid history now this is such a headache as normal appeal is no workng at all like talking to brick wall.

@fakan am glad to find somebody who also apply for mediation round same time as me so am not alone in this this is hard time and they is no.one who say anything about meditation and the time they take no one has any idea i will keep you update you plesse also keep me update onw perso.who apply for meditation around same time as me first mediation he got reply 1 day before it ws 6th week hope and pray for me i get answer tomrrow as my 6 week complete tomrrow amazon very unfair and very unjust to honset sellers my account has deactivated for over 5 months now.

@fakan same here am so happy today that i found somebody who is going through same thing as me i appeal.over 40 times and they is nothing we can do and meditation is juat a joke as well when it should bw upto 2 weeks they drag this on for weeks my meditation they close it saying we can nkt verify you from uk when my account is fully verified and only sold in UK let hope i get reply tomrrow i can remember clearly 8th September let hope my friend i will.make sure i keep.you updates they was another person who had same problem as you his account git acttive without any further action he just got email thank you for the information we have active your account i have high hope for you.

Just to clarify, my account is fully a registered company, and I’ve submitted all the necessary company documents, including incorporation certificate, lease, and bank statements. Even if I hadn’t, Amazon can verify company information online.

If the mediation gives a negative result, do you know if there is any legal or alternative process we could pursue?

Also, do you have a registered company yourself? If yes, is it located within the UK?

You’re definitely not alone in this, as Amazon’s automated linking system often flags sellers unfairly when multiple businesses share the same registered address provider, even with distinct unit numbers, and the appeals process rarely gives proper human review.

Since you’ve already submitted mediation, the next step is simply to wait for the mediator’s formal response, which can take up to eight weeks, though delays are common.

During mediation you can’t file a court claim simultaneously, but if it ends unfavorably or drags on without response, your next legal option would be to issue proceedings in the UK for breach of contract or unfair deactivation, citing Amazon’s failure to properly review your evidence.

Given that your company is registered and independently verifiable, you have a solid argument that the deactivation was disproportionate.

@fakan because somebody whi had same problem as you the mix up with address they got accout back that why i have high hope as i can clearly remember as when i first send mediation he was same time as me his account actuve without any question that why i have high hope also am.just sole trader and am registered with hmrc and have utr number and i only.live in uk but i never register my company i left in my own name for that reason they close my case and ask proof of business registration that you from uk.

@ecomwithumair hi any information for me am sole trader and my mediation was close as they could.nkt verify me am.from.uk.and i have send documents to proof my business is registered in uk it has been 6 week tomrrow my is misbrand i send first mediation invoice bank statement email screen shot from.supplier and plan of action they close the Mediation said we could not verify yiur business registration. @fakan they are few who did meditation for link address and they account got active by meditation one got reply btween 7week- 8 week when apply for mediation as this link addresses one who got his acccout back his was link to his brother and still manage to get his account back so i seen postive but if yiur appeal was send within 6 month then you don’t have issue i do have high hope they also were deactivated for months as well i try to see if i can sned yiu link

@fakan hi did you read the link i send you they is uptu 8 weeks wait i completed 6 weeks today what i seen they alwayz reply early in the morning all the one i know and myself first meditation was close as it did not have enough documents that took 2 week for reply and second i send with proof that my product are really thay close after 5 weeks and 2 days saying we could not verify your business is in uk this time i don’t know how long.
