What happens with the item ? Is it returned to inventory ?

Yes, and if it’s not back into your inventory within 60-days, you should be reimbursed for it.

Thank you. Does that happen automatically or do I have to open a case?

Where can I verify in Seller Central if the item is returned?

No, this means that Amazon promised the customer a guaranteed delivery date and didn’t deliver on time, they still get the product and counts as a loss

Delivery is in amazon control, so why should we pay for it? Its like them loosing the item.

Yes, it is like them loosing the item. The only way you’re loosing money is because the customer knows about that guaranteed delivery date policy and called Amazon when it was delivered late so they got the item and the refund. Cost of doing business with Amazon, nothing that we can do.

What about this situation?

It is supposed to. But, I was able to recover approximately $3,400 in missed reimbursements, and we’re a small family business. So, it’s always good to check.

You can find the customer returns in the FBA Customer Returns report.
