Does anyone here use Evri?

I sent a DG parcel by Evri to Amazon in Peterborough, but the parcel came back because I made a mistake on the shipping label. Then I sent it again, making sure 110% that everything was correct, and updated the tracking number on Amazon.

However, the parcel came back to my home address again. Someone had put a label with my home address over my original label addressed to Amazon in Peterborough.

I tried to contact Evri, but there is only a chatbot, so it’s impossible.

Has anyone else had the same situation before?

I don’t ship DG but I would be surprised if Evri accepted DG. Are you sure they do?

They’re not even an approved carrier to FBA so I doubt it very much.

I think Parcelforce take them.

This was my first dangerous shipment so it seems like I messed up. Thank you. I will try Parcelforce.

Dangerous goods are a special category, you never know. Whenever I ship any product containing liquids, in 50% of cases I get the package returned back to me, even if the carrier offers such service.

I don’t understand why dangerous goods have to be sent by a different courier because I personally do not see any difference in the vehicles that carry them, however, I would really like to understand how you all navigate the shipping price when sending in DG goods.

Everything seems to always crunch away at the margins, perhaps I am not thinking outside the box. Any clever ways to send in DG shipments with less costs? Be happy to hear your thoughts on this.

Shipping prices depend on where you are shipping goods from. As for dangerous goods, Amazon trusts only a few carriers due to product safety and carrier credibility problems.

It really doesn’t matter whether you agree or not. Sorry.

Dangerous goods in the process of shipping will have a great risk, which is why the cost will be high or even can not be shipped, agents and shipping companies need to bear a high risk, of course, need to charge more, otherwise who will be willing to bear this risk?

I still find it silly… UPS is not credible enough for them when they accept it for everything else. Location-wise, I get it and it makes sense. I find it annoying having to send in a separate box of DG when it would be so much cheaper, with less packaging, to include it in one box. Thanks all for your responses. I appreciate it.

I have had the same issue once when I booked through Parcel2Go. It was a nightmare getting it sorted, as there was a fault in their system. I sent the package, but it got returned to me for no reason (nothing to do with Amazon). Then they collected it again and sent it back to me.

I had Evri keep turning up to collect the package, but it was booked with another courier. The reference number kept showing Evri, but they were not supposed to be collecting it. It took me a while, but finally someone understood and created a new booking with a new reference.

I now only use Parcelforce.

I send through evri directly but parcel came back twice. Did you get refund from them? Which courier did you send on the end?

Could be that Evri themselves returned it back to you,as Evri does not accept dangerous goods.
