I just got this notification. Does it mean I’m not eligible for BB because my price is too high? If I lower the price, will that fix the issue?
Nobody knows for sure how one gets the buy box. Lowering the price is a definitely a big contributor to this.
But do you really want to lower the price? The buy box is shared in any case so you are bound to get a few sales and you need to make a lot more sales to make up for the lost profits. Don’t be a busy fool.

I am getting these literally daily and it can happen anytime, even when you haven’t updated your price for a long time. The BuyBox assignment depends on seller’s overall price + shipping, fulfillment method, handling time, Premium delivery options and metrics.
FBA sellers may get the BuyBox with a 30% higher price than you, if you are FBM.
Handling time over 5-6 days will cause you to lose the BuyBox against all other competing offers.
Sellers who offer Premium and Expedited delivery have advantage over merchants without these options.
With ODR over 1% you will lose the BuyBox eligibility.
Also, if you had your account placed on vacation settings (or otherwise it was inactive) for a while, you will need to wait until at least 90 days past reactivation and process at least 1 order to be BuyBox eligible.
Review all offers on the listing to see, if the other sellers appear to have any advantages.

I personally ignore those messages. I set up my repricer with min and max price then I review once a week. On my weekly review I go through every listing in a individual basis and take decision for the ones tanked, bb suppressed, etc…
You’re probably priced too high, so you’ll need to lower your price. Check Keepa to see the price at which the Buy Box was won. Could you share a screenshot?
Ignore or opt out of those emails. The buybox is supressed. You can still get sales with a supressed buybox but the customer has to select which seller to buy from, which is usually the lowest price with fastest shipping. Just stay competitvely priced with other sellers.
