Hi guys,
I have a question. I am making my first FBA shipment. The product is in the beauty category. When I was doing the listing, Amazon assigned to me the wrong ASIN and after 3 weeks of nonsense solutions from Seller Support which mainly suggested I alter my product description to match the wrong ASIN. Long story short, my product is a serum and the wrong ASIN belongs to a sunscreen of the same brand. That is a no go obviously because I can’t list my product as sunscreen when it is a serum.
I am selling in the Australian Market. The product I am listing is sold in the USA marketplace but not in the Australian market. When I looked up the ASIN for the product that is listed in the US market and made a listing using that ASIN, the listing was approved.
I understood from Seller Support that one ASIN is usually used for that same product globally. However, the product UPC for the one listed in the US marketplace is different to my product UPC. And on my listing in the Australian marketplace, the UPC (obviously linked to the ASIN) is now different to my product UPC. Can I still use the ASIN and send in my product to Amazon or is this going to be a problem down the line? The product is basically identical except for the UPC.
Seller Supports (I went through dozens of them in the 3 weeks are pretty much useless and just want to close the cases ASAP without providing any solutions.
I am hoping someone would be able to share their experience and share some suggestions.
Thank you in advance.
