Why you should avoid misbranded listings

A few days ago, I asked a question related to misbranded listings. Many people advised against pursuing them, and I now understand why, Amazon provided a clear example.

These listings are nearly 8 years old, with over 290 reviews, and sourced directly from a brand-authorized distributor. They only started selling well a few years ago.

What I’ve concluded is that Amazon can remove any listing, even if it’s old and has a strong presence. It’s crucial not only to source your product from an authentic source but also to ensure your listing has accurate product information.

Note: I had just listed the product and was planning to place an order. Fortunately, I checked the “Invalid Information” listing tab in Seller Central beforehand.

Same issue. They instantly deleted my 7 ASINs and another 4 will be removed in 30 days.

My products listed under correct brand name, BUT the UPC belongs to the old company of this brand and current right owner is another company. These UPC’s are authentic and printed on the brands packaging, but Amazon doesn’t care.

Do we need to create a removal order? I received one for my two ASINs. Is this going to be a red flag for our account?
