Who had the same issue, and how long did it take?

I tried to create sellers account and uploaded all the required documents, but then I got an email saying that verification failed and I need to contact the support.

I contacted them, and they said this:

Hello, upon checking, I’ll need to transfer your concern to the verification team to escalate your appeal. They will properly be able to handle the concern as they manage such issue. They will also provide you more information and clarification with the decision, as well as how to fix it. Hence, they will assist you further on this via email as they don’t have a live support.

Account is in the US. All submitted documents are real

This situation is quite common during the Amazon seller account verification process, especially for new US marketplace registrations. When Amazon says the verification failed and transfers the case to the verification team, it usually means the automated system was unable to confirm something in the documents, even if the documents themselves are genuine. This can happen if there is a mismatch between the name or address on the documents and what was entered during registration, if the document image quality is unclear, or if the system cannot automatically validate the issuing authority.

Since the verification team only communicates by email, the best step is to wait for their response and follow the exact instructions they provide. If they request documents again, make sure the files are high resolution, unedited, and show the full document including edges. Also ensure the business name, personal name, and address match exactly what is listed in your Seller Central account. Even small differences such as abbreviations or formatting can sometimes trigger rejection.

If the first resubmission is rejected again, it is usually better to ask the verification team specifically what detail could not be validated rather than repeatedly uploading the same documents. Once the verification team confirms the documents, the account normally activates quickly, so the key is getting through this initial identity check successfully.
