Which marketplace should we start FBA, US or CA?

We launched PL back in September 2023, starting with listings in both the US and CA markets as FBM. We received almost equal orders on both marketplaces. Then our account got deactivated due to Section 3. We got our account back in June 2024, and now our listings are live again in both marketplaces.

Currently, we have two listings in CA with BSRs of 123,400 and 143,000, while in the US, we have two listings with BSRs of 5,312 and 8,200.

We are now planning to switch to FBA. In the US, our Buy Box is suppressed, while in CA, we have the Buy Box. We have equal views and sessions on both marketplaces.

Your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

But I personally want to do FBA in the USA.

The reason is that we have a good BSR on both listings, while our Buy Box is suppressed due to our shipping address, which will be covered by doing FBA. Our main keywords’ search volume is also great in the USA.

However, there is one reason I don’t prefer the USA: the competition. In Canada, we have a low BSR and low competition.

If you were in the same situation, which parameters would you keep in mind to decide where to do FBA?
