Where will my product show up on the product page?

Hey everybody.

I am new to Amazon. I have bought some beauty products to try and list for FBA. Still unsure on several things.

  1. there is already a featured product just like mine. Where will my product show up? I only bought 10 bottles as a “Proof of Concept” to figure out how this works on a very basic level.

Will my product be listed as “7 offers from other seller…”? I can beat the featured price.

I will have more questions I am sure as I continue along. Thanks everyone!

The featured offer is shared between all sellers but those with a “better” offer according to Amazon’s algorithm will get a higher share than others. Nobody knows the details of the algorithm and it’s not just about price.

But be careful of beating the featured price, you need to make sure you are making enough profit. Don’t be a busy fool so do it with your eyes wide open. And remember that if you beat the price, other sellers may decide to lower theirs to beat yours so you risk a race to the bottom.

Since your product is identical to an existing listing, you should list it under the same ASIN rather than creating a new one. Your offer will appear under the “Other Sellers on Amazon” section unless you win the Buy Box, which is influenced by factors like price, fulfillment method (FBA gives an advantage), and seller metrics. If you have a lower price and use FBA, you have a good chance of competing for the Buy Box, meaning your product could become the default purchase option. With only 10 units, this is a great way to test the process, and as you gain sales data, you can refine your strategy.
