I’d really appreciate some help here (FBM related). I’ll try to keep it short and simple, any and all feedback is welcome. I’m sure many of you have experienced this before: I’m hitting an absolute brick wall trying to find ungated products.
Everything I’ve looked into requires a request with an invoice for 100–200 units. I was hoping to start by selling ungated products to see if that might lower those requirements, but I can’t seem to find anything ungated that I can bulk up on in stores.
I don’t sell FBM myself but I’ve looked into it a lot. The gating thing is super common, most new sellers start with open categories like Home & Kitchen, Books, or Arts & Crafts since they don’t need approval. Try focusing on generic or unbranded items you can get locally or online.
You can also look for wholesalers who work with Amazon sellers, some let you order small quantities just to get ungated later. If nothing else, flip a few open-category products on eBay or FB to get experience before scaling up.
