Hello everyone,
I have a quick question.
Would you hold off? That way, I can avoid paying Amazon storage fees.
Hello everyone,
I have a quick question.
Would you hold off? That way, I can avoid paying Amazon storage fees.
It depends on the product and how fast the competition is rotating, but generally, if you see a lot of sellers on a listing with aggressive pricing and you anticipate a price war or slow sales, it could be smart to hold off sending inventory to Amazon to avoid unnecessary storage fees. However, keep in mind that competition doesn’t always mean low profitability, sometimes it just takes a well-optimized offer or better timing to sell. If the product is trending or seasonal, you might miss the window by waiting too long, so consider checking the Keepa chart, sales velocity, and Buy Box rotation before making a final call.
All that matters are FBA sellers rotating and competing for the BuyBox.
You should share keepa graph.
Check out the sales, analyze competitors’ prices, and review the Keepa graph from the past 3 months, based on all that, you can decide how many units to send that will actually sell out.
How many sellers are there? Check how much Buy Box percentage each seller is getting.
It doesn’t matter how many sellers are on the listing, what really matters is the price, monthly sales, and Buy Box rotation. If all of that looks good, then it’s a green signal for me.
Sorry for the confusion. The issue is that these sellers have lowered the price so much that the profit margin has become very small, even though the product was selling well before. So, to rephrase my question: should I wait until they run out of stock before sending mine?
Be cautious, once the price drops, it could kill the listing altogether. It may recover, but it’s best to test it first and not go too deep.
Go for some testing units.
If you have a product available, then you can offer it FBM to see how it sells. When the listing is crowded, there is no guarantee the other sellers will leave anytime soon or that you will be able to sell anything at all.
If you have products which you just need to get rid of, you could undercut the other sellers and get the BuyBox. Otherwise, if you want to make a solid profit, just offer FBM and international shipping. Someone from a different country may order from you as not all sellers may offer international shipping.
