I am purchasing an item from amazon business purchasing account and getting this error?
There was a problem with some of the items in your order (see below for more information):
We’re sorry. This item has limited purchase quantity and your business has reached it. We have changed your purchase quantity to the maximum allowable.
I found this a article elsewhere. Whether it is totally correct, that’s another matter:
Amazon limits quantity on personal accounts to push you to their Business account instead as they assume anyone buying more than just a few of any one product isn’t a consumer but instead a reseller.
With a Business account they charge you there a second time for Prime, do not give the same 5% cash back, and allow you to buy anything you want (the same items, the same listings, the same inventory) but there you can buy with the only restrictions being actually running the warehouse out of stock. They’ll sell you everything. Because “the other customers” have never mattered.
Can’t buy more than 2 widgets on your personal account? Sign up for Business and you can buy 20 at a time and they won’t even blink.
It has nothing to do with “fairness” or any of the hippy happy horseshit Amazon reps want to sell you; it has to do with money.
You don’t actually need a business to sign up for Amazon Business, so if you need 20x of some thing that Amazon is cockblocking you on and don’t mind waiting 2 weeks for shipping sign up and buy them all.
Amazon refreshes purchasable quantities in real-time. If you encounter an error, try checking back later, adjusting the quantity, or contacting the seller or Amazon Support for assistance.
