I am tempted to use it as statement credit but lots of people are telling me to convert to avios and use for flights. Seems very confusing.
Anyone got any experience?

If you convert to them to statement credit, you will lose the equivalent amount from your allowable expenses so you won’t be able to offset the expense against your income and thereby reduce your tax liability.
So, you should convert them to something like avios or spend them on a personal expense.
Never use for statement credit, just use for flying first class ideally. Or you could stay in some nice hotels. Just spend a few hours researching on youtube and it will give you a good idea.
Keep your points saved, then when you want to travel look at how to use your points.
Not expert in this but the way I use them is to convert to avios…
Also you can buy something and redeem against that transaction. Bought 4 tires like that.
I get Amazon vouchers
Convert to avios or hotel points for me.
There are so many ways, all info’s on their app. Purchases with SafeKey, for every payment through PayPal, gift cards, gift cards for holiday or simply use it anywhere and cover the transaction with the points after the payment has settled.
You could also use it to pay for your British airways flight tickets without converting to Avios.
How much you have out of curiosity that is a problem to spend them?
Avios, amazon purchases. Gift cards. Whatever you like.
Convert to Avios, it’s very easy to do.
Thanks for the info guys
