What steps should we take?

We received a message from someone claiming to be the brand owner, asking us to sell out our inventory and refrain from restocking a specific ASIN.

Is this request legitimate?

I’m attaching the letter they sent along with a screenshot of the Keepa graph for your reference.

You shouldn’t make decisions about an ASIN without proper verification. Don’t base your investments on assumptions or speculation. Start by doing your due diligence: verify the LLC ownership and contact the brand directly to confirm the information.

Also, make sure to reach out to the person who sent the document to discuss it further. This will help you determine whether the request is legitimate.

By the way, based on the yearly BSR graph, the ASIN doesn’t seem particularly promising. Or am I overlooking something?

I do not believe this is a competitor. It’s easy enough to do a cursory google search to find the owners LLC and their legal representation. It took me one click to verify the information.

As per my experience I also received a letter to remove your inventory from Amazon otherwise the brand will go for counterfeiting.

I think your competitors did this all.

Thanks for your answer. I thought so, too.

Call the brand and ask about it.
