What should we do in this situation?

Hello everyone,

We received a complaint from a buyer, but the buyer is actually our competitor, he purchased the product using the same address that appears on his Seller Central account, his website, and his LTD.

Thanks.

In this situation, you should respond professionally through Buyer-Seller Messaging, addressing the complaint as if it came from a regular customer, but avoid engaging in any confrontational language about the buyer being a competitor. At the same time, open a case with Seller Support and report the incident under “Report a Violation” or through the “Seller Performance” channel, explaining that the complaint came from a direct competitor and providing evidence like the address match with their seller account or business registration. Keep all communication polite and factual, and submit screenshots or proof if possible. While Amazon may not always act on it immediately, documenting the pattern helps if there’s repeated abuse or manipulation attempts.

As @ecomwithumair says. Also, is it a genuine or malicious complaint?

In the Help search bar, type “abuse” and you’ll find a link to a form where you can report the abuse.
