What should my strategy be?

Hello.

I am an active PL seller on Amazon US. While researching products, I happened to come across a very large brand and, after lengthy discussions, reached an agreement. The brand owner told me I could create my own listings to sell their products. It’s a very large brand. Even when I just search for the brand name, the search volume is 20,000.

How would it work if I listed and sold a product belonging to the brand that isn’t currently available on Amazon?

There are already many different sellers selling the brand’s products. The products are competitive. Can I establish myself in the market? Will I have to spend a lot on advertising?

I would appreciate any insights you can provide.

If there are many sellers selling the product you can list your product too. And need to ungate the brand if its gated just upload invoices to Amazon if they require it.

Yes, you can list and sell the brand’s products, but since it’s competitive, expect to invest in advertising to gain visibility. Focus on optimizing your listing, leveraging PPC, and offering slightly better pricing, bundles, or enhanced content to stand out.

Nowadays starting Private Label on Amazon has become more challenging than before.

Because of high competition, rising PPC costs, and bigger investment requirements, beginners need strong product research and a clear launch strategy. In today’s situation, sellers should focus on unique or improved products, good branding, and proper keyword optimization to survive in the market.

Without differentiation and marketing budget, it is difficult to rank and compete with established brands. However, PL can still be profitable if the product is carefully validated and launched with a smart strategy.
