What’s the best answer for getting inventory in quickly without delay or loss?

I have sent a total of 4 shipments to Amazon FBA (not AWD) the past few months, and three of the four have missing inventory, not to mention extremely long delays for the transfers to FC’s. I got one reimbursed and working on the other two. My plan was to use AWD next shipment and hoping the transfer would be much more efficient that way. It sounds like there are issues here too. What’s the best answer for getting inventory in quickly without delay or loss??

Hello @rachelletburst,

thank you for joining. Yes, I have experience with Amazon Warehouse Distribution. All of my units were received in exact and correct quantities, and quite quickly.

FBA shipments always arrive with 1-10% missing and I don’t bother with opening of the cases.

It seems like different people handle the receipts of AWD inventory with better training and skills than FBA staff.

But AWD is not FBA. Your AWD units will not show up as available for sale and you may still see that specific ASINs are blocked from restocking due to high quantity in FBA warehouses.

I hope this helps. Please feel free to post here whenever you need help.

Thank you for the information. That is good to know. Anything should be better than the FBA system they have now. Best regards to you!

You are welcome, just make sure to check if your products are eligible for Amazon Warehouse Distribution. 99% of my products weren’t. They don’t allow jewelry, not even fashion jewelry.

The most reliable way to minimize delays and inventory loss when shipping to Amazon is to consolidate your inventory into fewer, larger shipments directly to a single fulfillment center (if possible), use Amazon-partnered carriers with tracking, avoid peak inbound periods, and ensure that your packaging, labeling, and box content information are 100% compliant to avoid manual checks.

While AWD can centralize intake and eventually streamline FC transfers, it still introduces a second leg in the process that may delay final availability, and many sellers report the same transfer delays and tracking issues. If you’re sending from a prep center, work with one experienced in reducing misrouting errors and make sure each shipment is thoroughly documented for reconciliation and reimbursement purposes.

For highest control and speed, consider trialing Seller Fulfilled Prime or temporarily supplementing with FBM on fast-moving SKUs.
