What is your position on selling FBA returns?

Hello Everyone.

Can we sell Amazon FBA Returns again in a “New” condition?

As product and packaging is perfectly fine and do not have any issue, just polybag is missing.

I think you need to decide for yourself but in my case, if the products are in excellent condition and can be repackaged well enough, I sell them as new on ebay and my website.

This may not suit some products but it does with mine.

I don’t have the option to sell on eBay. Sometimes, I wonder if the buyers could have opened them and then repackaged to look intact. There could be hair inside, who knows.

But I guess the same issues might be with FBA returns where Amazon just placed them back into sellable category.

Yes, it is okay. Everyone does this.

But will the returned item cause any issues if I sell it again as new?

In most cases under Section 3, Amazon asks to justify specific quantities.

For example, I have an invoice for 10 pieces, and I received 2 pieces as returns.

Now I need to justify a total of 12 pieces to Amazon in case of verification.

Will this cause any issues?

As you say, Amazon puts back your returned items back for a sale anyway if they are in a saleable condition. And they do a much less thorough check for their condition than you would. You could just say they were returned unopened.

Or sell them on Amazon as “Used - Like new” or “Used - Very Good” or whatever you want that will not require those units to be included in the invoice quantity.

Depends on the condition. But when you are using FBA, Amazon will normally place any inventory in sellable condition back into your fulfillable stock and resell it anyway.

Thank you as always

It depends upon you, if packaging has been opened, or the product is in perfect condition.

Selling Amazon FBA returns as “New” is only allowed if the product meets Amazon’s strict guidelines for “New” condition. This means the product must be unused, unopened, and in its original, intact packaging. If the polybag is missing, it may no longer qualify as “New” since it could raise concerns about tampering or prior use. To avoid potential issues with Amazon or buyers, you could consider repackaging it and selling it as “Like New” or “Open Box” to ensure transparency and compliance with Amazon’s policies. Always err on the side of caution to maintain your account health and customer trust.
