What is the correct listing status for FBA listing?

Hi guys,

I just listed my product on amazon.

I am going to put the shipping information to get the FNSKU.

My question is what should the status of the listing be?

I just want to check because I read online that some status affects the health of the account.

Amazon set the status to

Inactive (out of stock)

Thanks for your time and help.

You get the FNSKU when you convert your listing to FBA.

My question is what should the status of the listing be?

It doesn’t matter because you will be entering the number of units during the shipping Workflow.

I just want to check because I read online that some status affects the health of the account.

Not exactly sure what your reference is?

Inactive (out of stock)

If you don’t have an FBM offer for your product, Inactive (out of stock) is correct.

The initial status inactive /out of stock is normal when listing on Amazon. It will be active when Amazon receives your inventory and it gets checked-in. It won’t impact your account health. Once you restock, the listing status will change into Active.

It will not be active until it gets checked in at Amazon.

For FNSKU generation, it’s fine to have the status as “Inactive (out of stock)” on Amazon. However, regularly monitor and update your inventory status to avoid any impact on your account health.
