Amazon seems to be cracking down heavily on supplement sellers, with many brands now facing strict restrictions or being hard-gated. Has anyone had success in continuing to sell Thorne supplements, or found any ways around these new limitations? Would love to hear if anyone is still able to list and sell Thorne or similar high-demand brands in the supplement category.
I checked, I am hard gated for Thorne. I never sold this before by the way, but I did sell suplements in past.
It’s true that Amazon has been tightening its policies around supplement sales, especially with certain brands like Thorne facing stricter gating and compliance checks. Some sellers have reported challenges with getting approved to list these products or having their listings removed.
If you’re looking to continue selling Thorne or similar high-demand supplement brands, here are a few tips that might help:
- Approved Distributor Accounts: Make sure you’re listed as an authorized seller or distributor of the brand. Many popular supplement brands like Thorne require proof of authorized distribution to sell on Amazon.
- Brand Registry: If you’re working directly with the brand, enrolling in Amazon Brand Registry can give you more control over your listings and reduce the likelihood of being gated.
- Amazon Compliance: Double-check Amazon’s health and safety requirements for supplements, as they’ve become more stringent about labeling, product information, and documentation like certificates of authenticity (COA) for supplements.
- Alternative Platforms: If Amazon continues to restrict these brands, it might be worth considering other marketplaces like eBay, Walmart, or even setting up your own e-commerce site to sell high-demand supplements.
It’s tough, but persistence and proper documentation can help keep things running smoothly. Anyone else had success navigating these challenges? Would love to hear your experiences too!
You need to obtain approval for your brand. If you cannot obtain approval, please sell it on other platforms.
I was hard gated on Thorne at the beginning of the year. Sells well on eBay though.
Product Liability insurance wouldn’t touch supplements anyway so it’s a hard no.
