What else can I do to make my first sale?

Hello guys!

I hope you’re all doing well and enjoying the holidays.

Two weeks ago, I listed my first products (arbitrage model in the UK). Last week, Amazon received my first shipment. The products appear active, and everything seems to be fine, except that I haven’t sold anything yet, even though it shows a good number of views.

  1. I matched the price with the Buy Box. Do I need to run PPC campaigns?
  2. I matched the price with the Buy Box, which makes my price cheaper than 4 sellers. However, there are 4 other sellers offering the same products for £5 less than the Buy Box price. Is that normal? If I lower my price to compete, I’d make less than £1 in profit. How do you guys navigate this?
  3. Is it normal for my account to display “Just Launched”? Could this be the reason I’m not selling? How can I remove that label?

Any answers or advice would be greatly appreciated.

It’s normal for new sellers to face slower sales initially, especially with the “Just Launched” label, as it can affect customer trust until you build sales history and reviews. Running PPC campaigns can help drive visibility and conversions, particularly if your products are getting views but no sales. Regarding pricing, the Buy Box algorithm considers multiple factors, not just price, so undercutting too much isn’t always necessary. Focus on competitive pricing while maintaining a healthy profit margin, and consider improving your listings with compelling images, bullet points, and keywords to boost sales potential. The “Just Launched” label will disappear automatically after you complete a certain number of orders or a set period on Amazon. Keep experimenting and optimizing!
