Can someone please give me some advice on the best carriages to use to get the most competitive prices? If there is an FBM seller within the community who can give me some advice, that would be great.

What size/weight of items?
What daily quantities?
You really need to do your own research and not expect others to do it for you.
After that, come back and say what you think is best and ask for other opinions.

Don’t do it unless you are trying to earn minimum wage.
Lets take an example.
What is the average profit you make per item?
How long would it take you to look up an order, find the item, prep the item, pack the item, print a label, put label on box, and then take the box to wherever the carrier picks the package up?
I think Royal mail is the best in the UK.
Going from a cost point of view Royal Mail for small items, evri for medium and Dpd/parcel force for large my friend.
