Voice of the customer score

Hey all,

I’m new to selling on Amazon FBA. Doing well in first 4 weeks sold 388 units with £9k revenue. My concern is, I’ve had 16 refunds so far (6 in the last 3 days) whi h equates to 1 in every 25 units sold. My voice of the customer score is ‘good’ but is this refund rate high or should I not be worrying? I’m just worried incase I drop to ‘fair’ or will I need lots more refunds more that? I’ve heard average refund rate is between 5% and 15%?

Thanks all

That’s average. Also, you can check the average refund rate from your Seller Central for your specific category. If your refund rate goes beyond that, then you can start worrying.

Refund rate depends on category is 3% unless it’s fashion/ foot wear. Also depend on net profit.

How much did you put in initially to achieve 9k sales? I have 3 products on the way to AMZ. I am a new seller as well.

Your refund rate of 4% is generally low and not a major concern. The average refund rate can vary but typically falls within 5-15%. Keep an eye on customer feedback for improvements.

I put approx 5k in but that included an FBA course for £800, new laptop and lots of orders on fiverr for pics, A+ content, product video etc, package design, insert card design etc etc

Ahh cool, how do I find that please?

I’m in the beauty / fashion / accessories category but it’s not like clothes as such

Makes sense - as people try before buy etc

Depends on ur model . For private label that’s OK. For arbitrage it’s quite high.but it will drop to a lower average when u have more sales…

Thanks, I’m private label. It was like 1 every few days but last 3 days had like 6 so worried me a bit!

Naw it’s fine. When u have a few thousand sales the percentage will be more accurate.

Appreciate the advice mate

So I guess that’s PL. Can I know how many listings have you created so far? I put $5k in Wholesale recently. My first product went live today.
