VAT on seller fees?

Hi all,

We are a vat registered business and just wondering if there is a setting we are missing to get a VAT invoices from Amazon for fees and advertising etc.

There is a vat line but it just shows as 0 .

We seem to be selling products, have to take 20% vat off the sell price but then unable to claim any back from the fees - any suggestions?

Hi,
If you are VAT registered and have given Amazon your VAT number then they will issue the VAT invoices for the seller fees using the Reverse Charge system. This means they will zero rate the VAT (hence the 0 on your invoice) meaning that you have not been charged VAT in the first place so there is no VAT to reclaim.
