I want to share with you that our UK Amazon account just got through the VAT establishment verification and with the help of my accountant we got successfully through it as UK established while we live outside the UK. Maybe the infos can help some of you in similar situation.
The details of our case:
there are 2 non UK based share holders in our company, I was the director in charge
we employed a UK established director this January in addition because I wanted to be prepared for the issue when we got hit by Amazons
Amazon gave us 30 days to submit the evidence that we operated from the UK. I uploaded everything right next day of the warning email but they kept rejecting and requesting basically the same documents a lot of times for 3 weeks until finally they accepted it.
our disbursement in the US was not put on hold. I was expecting to getting it withheld every single day but it never happened. I have no idea why. It might have been a mistake because after they sent us the email that we passed the verification another email came as well stating that our disbursment got released.!
what we uploaded in order to prove the place of operation (UK) was a Water Bill for the current year on the name of our UK based director plus a TV licence. And 3 purchase invoices about products that could be used for business/office purposes. The invoice address was our company’s billing address but the delivery address was the address of the director in UK (same that the Water Bill and TV licence had).
Hey thank you for sharing. I’m in the same trouble. Uk based keep giving them what they ask for and they ask again. My business address is not the same as home address but bought things to be delivered to my house can I use it ? I gave them the business lease agreement, the invoices for the rent and they keep asking
Definitely upload 2-3 purchase invoices to your home address if that’s what you claim to be the place you are working from. If that is in the UK.
And just upload it again and again the same. Based on my experience they wait out the 30 day from the original letter to actually do the verification. Until then they keep asking new and new submissions for the same documents.
If you’re claiming to work from your home address in the UK, definitely upload 2-3 purchase invoices with that address. Keep uploading the same documents repeatedly. In my experience, they usually wait 30 days from the original submission to verify, and in the meantime, they keep asking for the same documents again and again.

Received an email this morning saving thank you now we are reviewing the informations we will get back to you if we need anything and now an email reminder to say you need to prove that you’re vat registered and to ignore if u already submitted the documents. But then in my account health doesn’t show under review, it shows button submit documents.
How did the accountant help? I could ask mine to help me
