I have to change an address because of the change in business address.
What to select in the Tax Interview?
If you did NOT elect S-Corp or C-Corp status (i.e., you’re taxed by default as a disregarded entity/sole proprietor):
Choose “Individual / Sole proprietor or single-member LLC.”
If you did file an election to be taxed as a S-Corp or C-Corp (Form 2553/8832):
Choose “Business” and pick S-Corp or C-Corp as appropriate.
SSN or EIN?
Disregarded entity (default): the IRS wants the owner’s TIN. That means your SSN (or an EIN that belongs to you as a sole proprietor, not the LLC’s EIN).
If you’re taxed as S-Corp/C-Corp: use the LLC’s EIN.
Address change
In Seller Central go to Settings → Account Info → Business Address and update it.
Then go to Settings → Tax Settings / Tax Information and re-run the Tax Interview so the new address is on your W-9 record.
If your legal business address changed with your state, make sure you’ve also updated it with your Secretary of State and the IRS (Form 8822-B for business address change).
Will it trigger the interview?
Yes, it might.
Okay! I have changed address on seller central few months ago. Didn’t realize that I have to change in Tax information. I did get the postcard from Amazon to verify the change.
