Ungating question

Once you get ungated for a product by obtaining a wholesale invoice, can you then go resell products obtained at a retail store for that brand?

Yeah, until Amazon asks you for an invoice.

Once you get ungated for a product by providing a wholesale invoice, you are typically allowed to sell products from that brand that you obtained through authorized wholesale channels. However, it’s important to review the specific policies of the brand and any agreements you have with them. Some brands may have restrictions on sourcing products from retail stores for resale. It’s always a good idea to reach out to the brand directly to ensure you’re following the proper guidelines.

I’m planning to sell Nike or Sperry… really just shoes in general, I’ve got a good in with a discount retailer and want to make sure I’m not wasting time getting ungated if this is going to create an issue.

Would you recommend reaching out to the brand directly or getting that information from Amazon?

Define “discount retailer?”

If they are a reputable source, you may be able to get by with receipts, but I’d ask for invoices.

Would you recommend reaching out to the brand directly or getting that information from Amazon?

I would not reach out to Nike or Sperry, and asking Amazon is crazy.

If you have an invoice from a wholesaler, use it to get ungated. You will always be able to fall back to them to replenish your supply.
