Understanding on MAP Policy Required

Guys, I know what a MAP Policy is and why is it adopted by brands. However, I have never worked on a product on which I have to follow MAP.

I received the MAP Policy from a brand today and the statement that it “applies to advertised prices, not the prices at which products are actually sold” confusing.

I was of the understanding that I have to set price of these products on my store as recommended by the brand. However, the statement above sounds like I need to run ads for these products and advertise price as quoted by the brand.

Running ads is not a usual practice in Wholesale and I have no experience of it.

Can someone please clear what does it actually mean? Is my understanding correct that I just need to list price of the products as recommended by the brand and do nothing else or there is more to it?

Hello @Andrew,

thank you for posting! What you posted above basically means, that you are free to sell your product at a lower price as a part of advertised discount, however the published price on the listing has to match the MAP. Hope this makes sense
