Unable to verify the charge method that you provided for your seller account email

We’ve had loads of these but we don’t ship to those markets (basically all other than UK)

My question is, can I safely ignore it, or do I need to spend time going through updating / verification pointlessly but just in case it threatens our ability / account health in Amazon UK market?

(Needless to say not had one for UK and that’s fine).

"Dear Amazon Selling Partner,

We were unable to verify the charge method that you provided for your seller account. Common reasons for this include:

  1. Invalid card number, expiry date or CVV number.
  2. Incorrect cardholder name, billing address or postcode.
  3. Card is a prepaid card.
  4. Amazon is unable to charge the card.
  5. Account has no charge method assigned.
  6. Multi-factor authentication needs to be completed (where required).
  7. We have received notification of charge disputes from your financial institution.

For billing and security purposes, Amazon sellers must maintain a valid charge method on file. Payment will be suspended until you update your account with a valid charge method. Once your charge method has been updated and verified, payment will be initiated on your next settlement date. For more information, please visit the FAQ page [here]

If you believe that your charge method information was valid and entered correctly, please contact your bank or financial institution for assistance.

Thank you for selling on Amazon.

If you’ve received this message for marketplaces outside the UK and you don’t actively sell or list products in those regions, you can generally ignore it without it affecting your UK account health, as long as your UK marketplace is fully verified, has an active charge method, and is functioning normally.

Even if you aren’t selling on the other markets, if you don’t have a valid charge method on file or expired, the market can trigger deactivation which will affect active markets as well.

Make sure that all of your Amazon platforms have an active charge method on file.

I would. Better than having the alerts to pop up all the time.
