UK business indemnity insurance

I’ve asked about is before I think - what is the threshold (if any)? I.e
" if a seller’s gross sales exceed £4,000 per month for three consecutive months, they must have public and product liability insurance.". Last two months we’ve been over that.

We’re solely FBM, do we need it? I have it currently for £28pm with Superscript which seems pricey.

Is this still current? I guess if I can get it more cheaply I will get it just to cover myself in case. I hear AXA is pretty cheap? Any other advice I should consider?

@kika do i recall reading you saying it isn’t necessary or being enforced recently?? (forget exactly what you said!)

Employers’ liability insurance - i employ my partner. afaik its law (as we’re not married and therefore not family so have that to, right?

I am sorry for the delay in responding, I just noticed the tag.

Please note that you are only required to obtain the insurance after being flagged / asked for this.

You don’t need to do anything if Amazon did not request the insurance yet.

You can submit your current insurance policy to see, if Amazon accepts it.

I am using this one from Policy Bee, which is specific to Amazon sellers:

https://www.policybee.co.uk/SellerUnion

You should get a discount if you sign up using this link.

Given that you suggest we don’t need it unless they ask for it and if they do we can then just get it at that point, was thinking of cancelling current policy…

You may still benefit from insurance, if it protects your business against potential claims. It’s up to you.

Since it’s December, you may pass the £4,000 threshold again and you will be asked for this anyway.

[Kika]I want to join your paid membership, but I don’t have a VS credit card, can I pay via USDT? How can I do this?

I saw this today, it was a con from the start. The company put it up solely because it was required.

What was a con from the start? Which “company” are you referring to? Sorry I’m confused

It’s a notice from Amazon about change of the policy regarding insurance.

Do you mean OnlyFans? You can also make payment here: www.buymeacoffee.com/sellerunioninc

a notice from Amazon about change of the policy regarding insurance

Is this a new notice? Can you break down what it means kika? (if you’ve understood it yet! ). Is insurance no longer obligatory?

So we still need this?

In my view it’s worth having just in case, particulalr with amazon saying theyll homnour any claims but we’d have to pay awards THEY agree to! I just followed Kika’s recomendation and went with policybee, who were cheaper than all the others I got quotes from (though I couldnt access axa on their site).

If interested I was given a referral link Here
We both get £20 if you sign up through it! Better than a kick in the proverbials.

Yes, most people are using PolicyBee. I would be cautious though. If you have a business where you really need the business indemnity insurance with claims being a part of your business operation, then you should do your research and review multiple providers based on their conditions and coverage.

From my understanding, PolicyBee is mainly for those who just wish to comply with Amazon’s mandatory requirements. In the US, I am using Hiscox for the same purpose.

It is actually hiscox via policybee that I’ve gone with. So I assume they’re kind of a broker.
