Trying to restock for FBM but everything tries to go to FBA

Although I am an experienced seller, from time to time I have problems.

I am presently trying to restock some of my inventory, things that I have sold before that I’ve been out of for some time. For some reason when I try to adjust my inventory it takes me to create an FBA shipment. I do not want the FBA dashboard. I did FBA one time and now Amazon gives me a hard time when I want to restart my FBM inventories. My question is:

What is the best way to restock and avoid the FBA dashboard. I have over 30 titles to restock (I sell books). There must be an easy way to adjust inventory that has been depleted that I am just not thinking about? The ASIN/ISBN already exists. Remember, I want FBM options only.

It’s difficult to understand the error you’re having without screenshots of the issue. Here are 2 possibilities:

  1. Change your current FBA offer to FBM

  2. Create a new SKU for the ASINs and offer them FBM

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with restocking your FBM inventory.

What you described typically happens when you saved a setting to always create every listing as being fulfilled by Amazon by default.

Next time when you create a new listing, you need to untick that option.
