Hey guys,

I have a couple questions, as this is all new to me. I am trying to lay out a road map for myself here.

When it comes to brand registry & trademark registration I realize you have to show proof of your brand name & use, etc to be approved. I see having those 2 things on launch is important.

Did you guys decide on your brand name/logo before finding your first product/or decide what category you wanted to sell in?

I am curious as to what the right steps “in order” would be!

The United States have a completely different approach when it comes to trademarks as opposed to other countries. You are correct that you need to demonstrate proof of use. This means that you firstly need to find products - start selling them or create a website and only then you can apply for a trademark, which could still get rejected.
