I’ve seen several videos with people using the Excel spreadsheet to analyze data and they use the Total Spend column. When I download the Search Term report - there isn’t a Total Spend column. Has this been discontinued does anyone know?

As of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, the Amazon Advertising Search Term Report does not include a column specifically labeled “Total Spend.” However, there are columns in the report that provide data related to spend and cost. These columns can be useful for analyzing and understanding your advertising expenses. Here are a few key columns you can refer to:
- Spend: The “Spend” column in the Search Term report provides the amount you have spent on a particular keyword or search term. This column represents the total cost incurred for clicks on your ads associated with those search terms.
- Clicks: The “Clicks” column indicates the number of times your ads were clicked for a specific keyword or search term. This metric can help you gauge the engagement and effectiveness of your ad campaigns.
- Sales: The “Sales” column displays the total sales generated from clicks on your ads associated with specific search terms. This information can give you insights into the return on investment (ROI) and profitability of your advertising campaigns.
By utilizing the Spend, Clicks, and Sales columns, you can calculate various performance metrics such as average cost-per-click (CPC), conversion rate, and return on ad spend (ROAS). These metrics can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your advertising efforts.
