What’s your biggest lesson?
Learn from your mistakes and focus the most time on product research and sourcing. Other issues can be solved over time, but if there’s a problem in this area, your chances of success are highly reduced.
No matter what you do, product research is your most important step. Please do not pick a product without letting the data verify the category for you. I learned this the hard way many years ago. I took one of those expensive courses and while the content seemed solid while going through it, I chose the wrong products because the people leading the course did not teach product research properly. Looking back, I’m not sure if they truly understood it. I think they just got lucky with a couple products. So anyway, if you don’t know how to use data to find product opportunities, learn that first.
