Those of you who have purchasing virtual assistants, how do you do it?

I am wanting my VA to start making purchases. I have two AMEX credit cards but how shall I give access and is it possible to set daily limits.

Share which methods you use much appreciated

First, make sure you get a VoIP number linked to your Amex and email, where your VAs have access so they can receive the OTP. Regarding the spending limit, I’m not sure what to suggest, as I’ve never set one, I trust my VAs.

Do you register an employee card for them, or do you simply give the business card details? Who do you use for VoIP? Can you recommend any VoIP providers other than A&A?

I use Zadarma, it’s very user-friendly.

The most common method is to use a virtual credit card provider like Privacy.com, Divvy, or even your own bank or Amex if they offer virtual card options, this allows you to create separate cards for your VA with spending limits and category controls. Some sellers also create dedicated logins for supplier accounts and use shared access tools like LastPass or 1Password to give the VA credentials without exposing full card details.

If your Amex account allows it, you can also request additional cards under your account with set spending limits and monitor them closely.

Always track purchases in a shared Google Sheet or accounting software and review transactions daily or weekly to stay on top of everything.
