The package has been damaged. All merchandise has been discarded and the sender will be notified

Hello everyone!

I could really use your help and advice. I’m dealing with an issue involving a shipment I sent to Amazon through their partner carrier, UPS. When I checked the tracking status, it showed that the package was damaged and all the merchandise has been discarded. The status reads: “The package has been damaged. All merchandise has been discarded and the sender will be notified.”

Since I used Amazon’s Buy Shipping service, I’m not sure whether I should file a claim with Amazon or UPS. Has anyone else faced something similar? Who did you contact, and how did you resolve it?

UPS is responsible for the damage but since UPS is Amazon service, your primary contact is Amazon because you bought shipping label from Amazon.

Just file a claim with UPS.

Are you sure you packed everything donkey proof?

As everyone mentioned, since UPS is responsible for the issue, you should file a claim with them to get your money back.
