I’ve been selling Ben Sherman shirts that I bought from a well-known UK retailer, but I got hit with a product authenticity claim because the shirts don’t have 2D transparency codes. I’ve submitted the invoice multiple times along with my bank statement and tracking details, but they keep rejecting it. Has anyone else faced something similar and can offer some advice?

Thanks

We removed some of your listings because your inventory is not appropriately labelled with Transparency codes or Transparency-enabled serial numbers. The items we removed are at the bottom of this message. You may not currently list these items, and your inventory is currently ineligible for removal.

We leveraged a combination of automated means and expert human review to make this decision.

Why is this happening?

You have not sent us the information we requested to confirm the authenticity of your inventory. The items listed at the end of this email are part of the Amazon Transparency programme and you have inventory that is not appropriately labelled with Transparency codes or Transparency-enabled serial numbers.

Transparency is an item-level tracing service that helps protect customers from counterfeit products.

The sale of counterfeit products on Amazon is strictly prohibited

The Transparency code or Transparency-enabled serial number is a 1D or 2D barcode which is affixed to the outer packaging of each individual unit of the product. These codes can be available in five formats.

Response from Seller Support:

What happens now?

Your listings will remain deactivated. If we receive more complaints about your listings, we may deactivate your Amazon seller account.

No chance you’re getting approved to sell this. You can’t even FBM without transparency and unlikely you’ll get the codes from the retailer.

Removal order and sell elsewhere.

Unfortunately, there is no way how to get around the Transparency barcodes thing.

You will need to remove the inventory and delete the ASIN.

Retailer invoices are usually/often not accepted as proof of supply chain on Amazon UK although some sellers have been successful for some brands/retailers.

But no chance if transparency codes are needed.

I doubt they will let you remove it without providing the transparency codes.
