Take action to comply with your legislative obligations before enforcement

Hello,

That one came today, maybe about an hour ago. On the main page, it said my selling privileges had been restricted, but when I accepted the prompt on the next page, everything seemed fine.

Has anyone experienced the same? UK marketplace:

Provide the Country of Origin (COO) information for your Listings.

Dear Seller,

Based on the information of your Seller Central account, we have identified that some of your listings do not comply with the EU/UK customs legislation as they miss information about the Country of Origin (COO - referred in Seller Central as Country/Region of Origin), generally defined as the country of manufacture of the product. Please provide the COO information for all your applicable listings in your Amazon Seller Central account. As per the EU-UK customs legislation, Amazon is legally required to collect the COO of your products crossing UK<>EU, Out Of Region (OOR)>UK and OOR>EU border through Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) programmes. If you do not provide this information by 31 December 2024, your listings will be considered non-compliant and will be blocked for cross-border movements.

You can provide the COO of your listings one by one by following the below steps:

  1. Visit Inventory > Manage All Inventory.
  2. Select Edit Listing.
  3. Depending on the product type, the Country of Origin drop-down list will feature in one of the following tabs: Compliance, Vital Info, Offer or more details tabs.

Or opt to do it in bulk:

  1. Visit the Add Products via Upload page here.
  2. Select the product types) for your listings, then click Generate Template.
  3. Open the template you have just generated and populate 4 columns:

Column A feed _product_type: provide the product type of the ASIN for which you would like to update the Country of Origin.

I got it too - got the heart rate up for a few seconds but we’re getting it because we haven’t added Country of Origin information to all of our listings.

You’re acknowledging to say that you will provide it by 31/12/24 or risk listings getting deactivated.

I tested & have successfully added CoO information on a handful of listings that I sell on, none of which I created or own.

So it’s a dull & tedious task, but nothing as bad as you think when you see that notification.

Just don’t forget about it - 01/01/25 could be a really bad day otherwise!!

Search ‘Country of Origin’ in seller forums & you’ll get the instructions to sort it out there.

Which marketplace did you do this for? The request on mine was for France only.

Got the same. I don’t own any of the listings from my inventory, so I do not have the document requested by Amazon.

I received it too still hesitate to click acknowledge. I think we still need to update the COO after acknowledge, isn’t it?

I also gave acknowledge but not sure if I need to do anything else. I don’t manufacture my listings.

Mine didn’t specify a country, it just said I have listings without a CoO, and they need to be completed.
