Sourcing from Alibaba

Hello,

can I buy from a seller on Alibaba who is not verified, even if they’ve been selling on Alibaba for many years?

Or should I only buy from verified sellers?

Certified Alibaba stores are almost three times more expensive than regular ones, and you can check store reviews, especially negative reviews.

Verified sellers are recommended specially if you’re just starting out.

Yes, you can buy from a non-verified seller on Alibaba, even if they’re not officially verified by Alibaba’s program, especially if they’ve been active for several years and have positive transaction history, but you should proceed with extra caution. Verified sellers have gone through a third-party audit process, which gives you more confidence in their legitimacy, but longevity, response rate, transaction volume, and buyer reviews are also strong indicators of trust. If you’re considering a non-verified seller, ask for business licenses, product photos, videos, references, and always use Alibaba’s Trade Assurance for your order and payment to protect yourself. Many smaller or newer suppliers aren’t verified simply due to cost, not because they’re untrustworthy, but you should still do thorough due diligence before moving forward.

As a new seller, it’s safest to go with verified suppliers to avoid risk and ensure better reliability.

Only from verified ones.

Yes, for your payment security, then you’d better choose a verified merchant.

My suggestion to buy from verified supplier. This case your payment would be secure.

I came to China and I know how high the fees on Alibaba are. There will be many small suppliers who are not verified because the money given is not enough. The fees are too high, and the high costs do not bring good returns…
