I’m sending my first shipment to Amazon warehouse. a little confused on the packaging requirements. Do I need to tape my custom box that has my product in it. On the Amazon site, it says “box cannot be easily open”.
Can some give me some advice please?
I would at least neatly put a piece of tape across the opening tab. You should also put a Ready to Ship label in the same general area. We use these:
This way, Billy in the warehouse won’t tear your custom box apart to dig out the contents.
P.S. Without knowing the size of your custom box, you may consider protecting it with some type of poly covering or bubble wrap to protect it from the wear, tear, grime, and shelf wear it will collect while traveling within the FBA warehouse system.
On your presentation box it would be best to apply a clear sticker on the latch that says something like: Passed Quality control. Make sure the verbiage is understandable by the majority share of your buyer demographic.
Amazon is notorious for recycling returns and for those peddling returns as new. So protect yourself and give your buyers a sense of security knowing that your item is actually new and not used/return stock.
