Should I open case?

Hi,

Amazon is reimbursing less money for many products sent to FBA that were lost in the warehouse, returned, or damaged in the warehouse.

Why is this happening, and how can I recover the full amount? In some cases, less than half of the value is being reimbursed.

In my case they reimbursed 12.25 for an item that I sold for 44 and bought for 22.5 excluding VAT wholesale.

Thanks in advance!

Amazon’s reimbursement amounts are based on their assessment of the “fair market value” of the item, which often doesn’t align with your sale price or cost. To recover the full amount, you can appeal by opening a case in Seller Central and providing evidence of the item’s actual value, such as invoices, recent sales data, or proof of your cost price. Highlight discrepancies in their calculation and emphasize the financial loss. Additionally, consider using third-party reimbursement services or tools to audit and appeal FBA reimbursements if you’re facing frequent underpayments.
