Shipping from China directly into US FBA

Hi All,

I have a question regarding sending inventory directly from China to Amazon FBA. Previously I have used 3PL and used their name/address as importer. I have read that Amazon won’t be an importer. So my question is if i want to send my inventory directly to Amazon FBA do i need an importer license?

Grateful if anyone who has done this before can help. Thank you !

If the shipment value is lower than $1000, then your parcel won’t go through customs but straight into Amazon warehouse.

Nope, you don’t need a license. You just need documents which come with inventory

Thank you everyone. That is great to know. I was under the impression that you need import license and customs bond to do this
