Hi guys,
I trust there are other sellers here experiencing the same issue. About the recent search suppression due to images lacking white background + the massive change in the category.
So, I as well, woke up last week to 1000 search suppressed products and within the business day we corrected them and the listings became active.
Quick forward to 2 days ago, when I woke up to 70% drop in turnover. I have no explanation. Reading again about the massive migration of the handmade category, downloaded the category listing report and I apparently had migrated already.
What am I missing? This sudden drop in orders overnight must be related to something, but I cant seem to find what it is.
Any thoughts would be valued. Thank you!
You need a white background on just the main product image. This has always been the case.
Sometimes, a listing with non-white background will remain live but eventually it will get suppressed.
Yeah, a lot of sellers are seeing the same thing lately and it seems to be a mix of two overlapping issues rather than one.
When listings get reclassified or lose browse node history, they basically have to rebuild ranking from scratch, which explains sudden sales drops even though everything looks fine on the surface.
I’d suggest checking your category and browse node IDs in the flat file against what they were before, verifying your main keywords are still indexed, and reviewing campaign performance because ads often stop serving correctly after a category change.
Most sellers who’ve gone through this say it takes a week or two to stabilize once Amazon’s system reindexes everything, but keeping your listings active and bids steady helps the recovery process.
