I got a Restricted Products Policy Violations on an international store I don’t sell on (I only sell on UK, but noticed some old products were listed on international store). For that particular store, my account health rating has gone to 196 and is at risk of deactivation with a yellow banner. I have deleted all listings on all international stores now.
My question is will this affect my UK store and if so what is the better course of action now.
Ignore the violation and wait 6 months for it to fall off.
Accept the violation through the submit appeal button
Your best action was deleting the offending ASINs from your inventory. The next best step would be to appeal, stating that these ASINs are no longer being offered for sale by you. If the appeal is rejected, wait six months for the violation to fall off, and you should be fine. Just be extra careful over the next six months with the affected marketplaces.
This can affect your UK account because Amazon treats your seller account as one global account, so violations in other marketplaces still count toward your overall health. The safest move is to appeal the violation, keep the explanation very simple, and state that you don’t sell in that marketplace, the listings were old/inactive, and you’ve removed everything to prevent it happening again.
Closing the marketplace alone won’t remove the violation, and waiting 6 months is risky with your score already low. Appeal it first, then close the marketplace if you don’t plan to sell there. If you want, I can write you a short appeal that usually works.
