Product updating issue

I am the rights owned and my own updates are getting accepted in 50% of cases. Some of my listings I have been unable to get updated for years.

Do you have any Seller Support communications to share? They must have given you an explanation or something.

As mentioned earlier I’ve opened so many cases and I’ve been on the phone for hours with seller support but nobody is able to resolve this.

I can understand that theory, but I would have thought as the brand and trademark owner our contributions would be accepted.

It would be difficult to start selling without the updates as everything will be in English and we also won’t have local fulfilment option.

If this is the only fix, then maybe we can drop the price to rock bottom and spend on ads and hope someone ends up buying. Although we’ll end up having issues raising the price again, due to the “potential high price” issues.

Ohh, if you’re stuck too, then I have no chance :frowning:

The product reviews from UK are also not showing up in Germany. Any solution for this?

In such case, I would suggest you to create a new ASIN just for Germany.

You mean start from scratch? We also want to use the EFN service to fulfil EU orders via our stock in the UK fulfilment centers.

With a new ASIN this wouldn’t be possible?

You are correct, if this is the case, then you will need to retain the original ASIN.

Could you post here any screenshots of error messages or Seller Support case responses regarding the matter?

So far no seller support response is worthy of mentioning.

Most keep sending URL of UK product and saying everything is fine.

Yes, and have you tried chat? I understand it takes some time to find a good rep who actually helps you.

Yes, I’ve tried emails, chats and calls.

After deleting and relisting in Germany few time, I was finally able to update all text, however images have still not updated.

I also deleted the parent and let the ASIN’S be single product listings, and now 50% of reviews have showed up on each child. So some progress!

I have some listings in US that have been flagged as children’s jewelry and consequently removed. It has been a few weeks now and they rejected my appeal that it’s not children’s jewelry. I suspect it’s because the title contains ‘teenage boy’ which actually means 13yrs+ anyway not children under 12. I can’t get this listing title to update, which is probably why they are rejecting my appeal, as they think nothing has been changed. I tried the delete and relist, didn’t work. Any workaround?

That’s great to hear, congrats

Yes, it always takes a lot of time to make something like this get fixed.

I am getting bombarded with these as well. I am also selling jewelry and many of the listings had their titles and bullet points spammed with words such as “girls”, “boys”, “kids”, “teenagers” - just like you by the original listing creators.

Unfortunately, updating the listings won’t help in this case. Amazon will not waive the restrictions by you amending the listings. You either provide the certificates, or the listings will get removed.

Most of my listings in UK got flagged too, but luckily they accepted my appeal and there’s actually an option to say it’s not for children. I don’t even know why they got flagged as there were no triggering keywords in the listing except for the disclaimer that reads ‘not intended for children’. If they are flagging based on the word ‘children’ from that disclaimer, that’s ridiculous.

We were advised by Amazon rep to put that disclaimer in few years ago.

In the US however, every appeal has been rejected.

BTW, this is a response I got for the images:

Upon checking we would like to inform you that your US marketplace account having merchant token ************* is winning the contribution for product images on DE marketplaces for all the above ASINs.

The European marketplace is completely different. I also had my appeals approved in Europe. If all it said was “Not intended for children”, then I understand why they would accept appeal.

Yes, this has also been my experience - in the US, Canada and Mexico. They reject every appeal - but these listings had their titles and bullet points spammed with the keywords.

Yes, the listing control is awarded to sellers by Amazon based on their own internal criteria, which include performance history, returns rate, metrics or seller feedback, for example.

You creating a listing or being the brand owner doesn’t mean that you will be the one with listing control. But you are already making progress, so this may change in the future.

This is the response I’ve got:

You have replied to inform us that the product you sell is not a Children’s Jewelry, however, the product detail page still includes some child indicators such as age grade, child claim or similar,niños and makes your product appear as a Children’s Jewelry.

In order to avoid further restrictions of this ASIN, we kindly ask you to update the Detail Page with the correct indicators or please provide the required documentation in order to move forward with the approval process:

The issue is, the titles are not updating. Tried the delete and relist after 24hrs again, still no luck.

Opened many cases to ask Amazon to update for us, still no luck.

Any ideas how to get the listing to update?

I received the EXACT same response as you and they haven’t accepted anything. The worst thing is that this is my private label brand and there is no mention of anything kids-related anywhere in the listing.

It seems as if Amazon wanted to keep finding new reasons why to get tons of good listings removed….

It’s the same for me. I don’t understand what to do.
