Product Match

What is the process you follow to check if the product on the retailer’s website matches the product on Amazon?

Are there any shortcuts or tricks to reduce the amount of time spent on verifying the match?

I look at the title and product images on both the Amazon page and the retailer’s website. If the image is slightly different—sometimes the images on Amazon are of an older version of the product—I then check the reviews to see if anyone has left negative reviews complaining that the product is not the same. Alternatively, someone might have left a good review with an image that matches exactly what is on the retailer’s website.

I also check the description and the ingredients. If they match, then perfect!

1st. Check if the website shows the product UPC or SKU or any part or model number then check on amazon if it is the same;

2nd. If option 1 is not available, check title description (brand, sizes, colors, box/wrap design, quantity) then compare with that of amazon. Box/wrap design sometimes differ so it would help to check google if there had been an update with the brands design. As long as product description, sizes, ingredients, flavors, quantity, and other descriptors match then it is most likely the same.

The product’s UPC barcode must match - as well as description, color and size.
