My listing is still active after a customer complained that the item was close to expiry date (but not expired) however Amazon are asking me to appeal
I have already sent in pics showing there is 10 months left on the product but they rejected this and now asking for these details
– Greater detail on the root causes of the expired complaint listed below.
– Greater detail on the steps you have taken to prevent expired complaint going forward.
As I have also sent pictures showing clearly the expiry date (02-2025) on the box and the bottle and this was rejected - Im not sure what I can say the root cause was?
thank you fro joining the forum! I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with a expired product complaint from an Amazon customer.
Since Amazon is not requiring you to appeal and the listing remains active, my suggestion is that you simply wait for the defect to drop off from your metrics after 180 days.
Here, Amazon doesn’t want you to prove that the product wasn’t expired. They want you to address how you will prevent customers from mistakenly believing that the product is expired in the future.
In most cases, they won’t lift the defect unless you promise to remove any existing stock from FBA inventory and start including an informational paper booklet with every product explaining how the expiration dates are calculated and where they can be found on the products.
I hope this helps. Please feel free to post here whenever you need help.
