I have noticed that many sellers are using brand names in their bundle listings. They include phrases like “Product by (Brand Name)” or “This product can be used with (Brand Name).” Their listings are live and generating good sales.
How are they able to use brand names in their titles?
Bundles can be created by brand owners enrolled with Amazon Brand Registry. I don’t think it is possible anymore to create bundles if you are not the brand owner.
What’s happening is that some sellers take the risk of including brand names in their bundle titles either by using phrasing like “compatible with” or “for use with” or by slipping the brand into the product title even though Amazon’s policy technically prohibits it unless you have brand authorization.
Sometimes these listings stay live for a long time because they escape detection by Amazon’s bots or because no one has reported them, but they can also be taken down at any time if the brand owner complains or Amazon does a sweep. The safe way to do it is to use “compatible with” language only in the bullet points or description where it’s allowed, avoid using brand names in your actual title, and make sure you’re not misleading customers into thinking your bundle is made or endorsed by that brand.
