We havent been hit with dramatic otdr problems before now somehow, but recently have dropped to 60% due to two orders, one of which was for 9 units, delivered by RM a day late (out of my control surely).
Today, I realise, I have a tracked 48 order for 34 units that the customer put the wrong postcode (G instead of GL) and that’s been bouncing around Glasgow for a week. So 34 defects on the horizon.
What is the best thing I can possibly do at this point? Turn on SSA & AHT? Or will that make no difference to the orders in question? We’re on 1 day handling and 2-3 days UK (3-5 Scotland/Highlands). Should we up that? (potential loss of sales). Most orders are sent untracked so unaffected but bigger orders always 48h Tracked.
I’m also concerned as those bigger orders always contain multiple units so this is clearly going to happen a lot.
It’s such a ridiculous system that penalises late delivered orders, through no fault of our own, let alone the bigger ridiculousness of a system that ridiculously pings you witrh a defect 34 times for an order that happens to contain that many units!! What on earth. It is one delivery that is late, not 34.
