Optimise Advertisement

Hello everyone.
My PPC daily budget is around 40 GBP per day.
As this PPC has helped me in getting sales and ranking. Now I want to optimise it to decrease my per day budget…but I am unable to do it even after decreasing the bids.
I am unable to figure this thing out. Can any one guide me step by step how can i improve with it.
Thanks.

You can only reduce your costs if you are paying significantly more than other people are willing to. Remember you are bidding for advertising space, not paying an absolute amount.

If your competitors are bidding more, you won’t get seen.

When you go into campaigns you will see this.

You can adjust your daily budget there

Thanks but how would i know what other people are actually biding for?

And in starting my budget used to be around 25… now i increased it to 40 cz it started going out of budget everyday. I also wanted to ask that is there any possibility that your budget at the end of the day might not gets used up to the full bcoz mine always ends up fully till the end of the day.

You don’t really, what you will see are your shares of impressions change.

Sure - but that depends.

If you are advertising a nice product no-one is looking for then your budget won’t get used.

If you bid too low and your ads aren’t shown, your budget won’t get used.

Essentially you need to balance your campaign budget with your bids and your desired outcome. There is no predetermined perfect - and remember - as you change your settings, so may your competitors - it is a very complicated task.

“what you will see are your shares of impressions change.”

Just last thing ,can you tell me this where/how these shares of impressions can be seen exactly?

Sorry, i think I merged google adwords and Amazon advertising in my mind with that one. It doesn’t look like amazon give you anything so helpful.

Anyways thanks for you suggestions and help. Atleast I got to know that Google offers such type of help in their adverts which I didn’t know.
Thank you

Hi

I presume you have run a campaign for a number of weeks/months and have optimised Exact only Campaign. If not look up RPSB with regards to running a Campaign.

Once this is done (And I am not saying this is perfect but it has worked for me) I reduced all keywords down by about 500% (Divide current Keyword Bids by 5) I ran a Down Only Bid Campaign and then raised Top of Search to 500% - Sounds crazy however the reason for doing this was to prevent Product Page spend which did not relay to clicks successfully. My CPC for Top is around 10% and my CPC for Product was about 0.5%, however as my listings were then only Top of Search my ad costs have decreased by about 1/2 and sales have maintained and if anything increased. What I find I have to do is go through my Keywords and slightly increase or decrease the bids for each keywords. I try to maintain ACOS around 10-20% but on very slow days this may increase to 30-35% however over the week this levels out.

If you find that your listings sell better on product pages then increase that to 500% and then Top of Search down to 0%.

Like I said this is only a suggestion and I am by no means an expert just self taught

This sounds innovative and a new process of handling adverts. Ok if this has worked for you so ill surely give it a try.
But can you tell me that is it possible to change/reset top of search and product page ads search after a campaign is in running state or do we have to start a new one for setting these two things.

“If you find that your listings sell better on product pages then increase that to 500% and then Top of Search down to 0%.”
How can we check that whats performing well, top of search or product page clicks?
I dont know where to find this data from.
Please if you can guide me regarding this also. Thanks

Yes you can change this after. Go to ad settings then click on the ad group name and click on placements.

There are two ways if you look under the placement tab as above you should see CTR (click through rate) this should be ideally about 1% mine usually is 5-15%. Alternatively use a browser search for the key words and see if they appear at top of search, if not find where they are in search make note increase bid by a small amount and then relook - after you have increased bid quite high if they are still not at top it may be worth cancelling the key word.

Thanks i got this thing.

And in this,

No, my campaigns are not Exact only campaigns. I am running a mixture of Broad, Phrase and Exact Keywords. So, should i go for Exact only as i am running these for around 2 months now?
Whats better in Exact only? Are they gonna cost less per bid or similar Biding cost strategy?

To identify keywords you should follow RPSB RPSB PPC Keyword Research

This runs two alongside Automatic and a Exact Only. If you follow the information this allows you to run it and select good quality Exact Keywords. Cost will be whatever you set but to start with the cost is going to be higher until its set up.

Block The Keywords From Triggering In The Research Campaign

In the 4th step of RPSB, I dont understand why we put converting search terms into Exact negative keywords in research auto campaign?
And then after that do we have to let both the campaigns run(research + manual) ?

I know i asked a lot about this today, thanks for your cooperation and tips.

Its so you dont pay for those keywords in the automatic ad campaign. Over time you will only be left with a few keywords in automatic campaign then you stop this one and run the Exact one instead

So by putting the negative Exact keywords in automatic campaign, would it not affect that same Exact positive keywords in manual compaign? Means will it still be showed by searching because of being present in manual campaign?

Thats correct. Good luck with setting it up
